All by myself......

Oh, yeah, you heard me! I´m travelling on my own to another volunteer site about 4 hours from here to spend the next four days. Should be a good time...something completely different and new! I´ll be going to Villarica...my coordinator tells me it´s got a cool vibe and there´s a University there. Other than that, I don´t know much. I´ll have to fill you all in later :)

Yesterday I went to Asuncion (the capital) with a fellow volunteer - Kate...had a great time! Learned that everything is out of my budget, bought some super glue, and ate falafel....what more could a girl ask for? ;) We also visited the PC headquarters. Pretty nice! They´ve got a great library with tons of resources and an awesome librarian!!!

Still having a great experience with my family! I´m eating well and am pretty much just plain ole pampered. My mom wanted me to look chuchi (fancy) for my trip to Asuncion, so she re-did my nails (with smiley faces this time) and got up early with me to do my hair. She´s too good to me! I learn something new every day and am trying not to feel overwhelmed. My language teacher is the bomb (fabulous), though, and she knows when we need a moment to digest. Today we were all tired, so we went outside and did some stretches and sang a really funny song in Spanish.

I´m teaching Yoga classes now. We´ve had two so far and I´m learning the words I need to teach in Spanish - aspirar, espriar..... Right now we have PC trainee involvement and lots of community interest. My mom offered to host us (we have a great front patio and yard) and my bro and sis participate in the class. My mom says she just wants to watch for now, and will join in one day. It´s pretty fun and I´m excited that it´s generating so much interest.

I know you all want pics...they´ll be coming soon...be patient. Till then, just know I´m happy and healthy and lookin chuchi ;)

With love,
Lor
