Bottled, Boiled, or Treated
That's it...no more untreated water! Back to square one with the Giardia...in the office today getting new meds - hopefully these actually work! It's a one time deal - 4 pills tonight to knock those little buggers on their butts. Keep your fingers crossed ;)
Had my "site presentation" this weekend....about 20-25 people showed up and it went well. Made some new contacts who hopefully will lead me to further project collaboration and met some more fantastic youth from the barrio!
I've learned that everything stops for the rain and slows down for the cold. But I'm OK with the relaxed pace...allows me to take it a little more easy as I try to get healthy. It's still pretty chilly here, but not as bad as it was last week. We've had a bit more sun, which helps. On the bright side, at least it's been cold enough to kill off the mosquitos! I'm in an area with a high rate of Dengue...so every mosquito killed is a bonus ;)

Glad to read that things are going well, except for that nasty bug ya got. Hope that gets better real soon. Send me your address where you can get letters/cards, got some interesting news for you! Hope everything is going well for you.

sounds yucky. i sympathize with the whole stomach thing. i hope this last bought gets kicked in the butt.

Sure hope the new pills work better than the first round. What a drag to have that hanging on. And having to iron underwear to kill bugs doesn't sound exactly like a picnic either. Do you have enough stuff with you to layer and stay warm?? Keep boiling that water, and watching what you eat/drink.
